The "A" Team's - Light House Target

This is Hans's New Light House Target.  When the Kill Zone is hit the Light House's Lights turn on.  See the picture of it below in the knocked down position.

Here is the Light House after it has been Activated by a Hit.

The "A" Team's - Dark Drum Target

This is Hans's target for use in our extremely dark drum.  The first few shooters always seemed to have an advantage over shooters that finished toward the end of the match since the target was completely shot up.  With Hans's Dark Drum target the faceplate will be extremely hard to see since it is painted flat black, and set way back inside a very dark 55 gallon drum, but the Paddle through the Kill Zone will always be visible because shooting it up won't change the color or remove any paint.  See if you can see Hans's hand flipping the paddle to demonstrate this target.

The "A" Team's - The "Gauntlet" Target

This target is a series of 5 paddles that are stacked on top of one another and spaced about 4 inches apart.   When you face the target, head on, all you see is the largest paddle.  Shoot that one and you are immediately presented with a smaller one.  Shoot that one and you are presented with an even smaller paddle until finally reaching the last paddle which is 3/4" in diameter.

What is really cool about this 5 shot fun target is that each falling paddle triggers a switch that actuates one light on a vertical light bank similar to a drag-strip Christmas tree.  For each target you knock down another light illuminates.

Incidentally this target is designed to be shot at 65 yards so the elements will have a chance to really come into play.  The difficulty of the 1st paddle is a measly 27 Troyers but the difficulties increase with each paddle knock down.  The difficulty of the 5th paddle is 3 times that of the 1st at 81 Troyers.

So the question now is.... Can you run "The Gauntlet"

The "A" Team Egg Scrambler.

This is a target that Hans designed and manufactured.  It has 2 different reset mechanisms. When the last target goes down it will automatically reset OR with a quick change the target will reset on command via the radio transmitter which will function reliably out past 120 yards.  Get the idea!  A long distance target with no strings to unwind, worry about running a straight path to the shooter with the reset cord or to get tangled in the brush along the way.  The target can be set on the other side of ponds, swamps, gullies, well you get the idea.

This target will be used with the auto-reset feature in our sight-in lane as a fun practice target and out on the range during practice days with the discs mentioned below.  When we want to hold an Off-Hand novelty egg shoot, then we will use the radio reset feature so we can make sure the target count is scored correctly.  The radio option will also be used when we do our rifle speed drills with our Careers and also pistol speed drills with CO2 repeating pistols at closer distances.

All of the targets can be changed out to a variety of different figures.  Bowling Pins or Poppers for close pistol use.  Progressively smaller discs starting at 2.25 inches and going down to 1 inch set at longer distances. Silhouettes of the standard airgun size. And of course the eggs for Off-Hand long distance target practice and novelty shoots.  This is a real fun one to play with especially since it is so versatile.

Here is the target in action being shot with a Crosman 357 CO2 Pistol.  I am going to try to get some of the IPSC guys to give it a go so I can video some really fast shooters.

These are the 2003 Junior Club Championship Prizes.  The overall Junior Club Champion will pick two of the three targets and the 1st runner up will receive the remaining target.  The juniors have already been picking out which targets are theirs should they win.

The following are Field Targets that Hans has made.
Many are used at the EFTCC matches run by The "A" Team.

This is The "A" Team Crony target donated to the AAFTA auction at the 2002 nationals.  This target has a very neat feature.  Every time the target gets knocked down it shows a velocity.  The velocity is different when you shoot it the 2nd, 3rd and 4th time.  You get the idea.  It is an active target.

The "A" Team Sun Flower - This is a lighted target.  Hit the button on the flowers stem where the arrow is pointing and the Lights flash for 5 seconds.  No reset strings needed and it is very visible.  Electronics purchased from Charles Meyer.  (crmeyer@cox.net)

The "A" Team Dragon - Another Lighted target using Electronics purchased from Charles Meyer.  (crmeyer@cox.net)
